The eyes told the stories of fifty years past
And their wrinkles and crinkles held the last laughs
As memories were shared 'bout the good...
and bad old days
For some it was like yesterday....
for others just a haze
But all felt the ties that bound us together
The strength of our camaraderie
will hold us forever
A toast to those "Flown-Up"
brought many to tears
And a vow to gather again...
resounding "Here, Heres"
Time has altered most of us
yet we really are the same
Young girls and boys
with our future still unnamed
Some attained stability,
while others garnered fame
Lawyers and doctors and nurses were many
And artists and actors and parents a plenty
All gathered to remember the days gone by
With "till we meet again" a spirited cry
Yes parting is indeed such sweet, sweet sorrow
And surely fifty years more
will seem just like tomorrow
So, cheers to us from '61
Our friendships now secured and won
And goodbye for now dear life long friends
Let this be a tale that never does end
