Laila Elias graduated from Christ the King school in 1990. She went on to graduate from Blanchet High School, UW with a BS in Aeronautics & Astronautics Engineering, and MIT with an MS and PhD in the same field. She is now an engineering manager at Boeing, supporting the development of the fuel system for the new 777X airplane. Laila has held other roles within Boeing on the 737 Program and on Boeing’s ecoDemonstrator technology demonstrator program. Prior to joining Boeing, Laila worked at Blue Origin on the development of commercial space vehicles and at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory on the development of next-generation space telescopes.
