Brian Meza graduated from Christ the King Catholic School in 1988. From there, he went onto Seattle Preparatory School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Washington University in 1996 and continued his education at Seattle University where he received his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2000. In 2005, he received an education certificate in Brain Research and an additional education certificate for Addiction and the Brain in 2008. He has been part of the Seattle Preparatory Science Team since 1996 teaching Integrated Physics/Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology and Global Health. In 1999, he became the Science Department Chair for Seattle Prep. He is the Assistant Coach for the Seattle Prep Varsity Boys Basketball Team. In 2014, Brian received the Ignatian Educator of the Year Award, JSEA and Seattle Prep.
He is married to Alicia Collora Meza and they have two boys, Noah (9) and Balin (10). Teaching and learning are his primary passions and finding ways to engage students through neuroscience and intentially integrate the mission of Catholic Schools which he believes is helping students find their gifts, while actively seeing God in all things.
