The goal of the Counseling Program at Christ the King School is to support the social and emotional needs of all students to help all students thrive at school. Common school counseling issues include coping with stress, managing feelings, challenges with friends, home or family stress, and developing self-regulation skills.

There are three ways a student could join small group or one-on-one meetings. Students may ask to come and meet with the counselor. Parents or guardians may contact the counselor to share concerns about their student. Teachers may refer students who they think may benefit from extra support.
The school counselor has an open-door policy to support your child’s social and emotional health. If your child is having a hard day or is in need of a reset in a quiet space, the counselor’s office is a place they can feel free to visit.
