Hi, I'm Mrs. Hansen, the lead teacher of the 3-year-old preschoolers. I am a graduate of Gonzaga University, and this is my second year teaching at CKS. I love the joy and magic of being in a preschool classroom! My teaching philosophy revolves around leading with love, structure, warmth and fun--we have a LOT of fun!   

My goal is for each of my students to learn the basics of how to be a member of a class community, while feeling safe and loved. I strive to create a positive and nurturing environment for my students' first experience in a school setting. My curriculum includes social-emotional learning, self-management, religion, art, and early literacy and math skills. I encourage inquiry through hands-on activities, and I believe 3-year-olds learn best through imaginative play, which we have built into our schedule every day.
