I am honored to be the vice principal of Christ the King Catholic School. I look forward to working with Joanne Cecchini and the parish and school staff to deliver continuing emphasis on excellent education at CKS based on the national Common Core Standards and on the morals and teachings of the Catholic faith.
I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Studies and a K-8 Teaching Certificate from the University of Washington. I also have a Masters Degree in Education and three teaching endorsements: K-8 elementary education, K-12 French, and 4-12 instructional technology.
My husband, Dan, and I along with our two daughters, Isabel and Georgia, are Broadview residents and have been Christ the King parishioners for twelve years. Isabel is a Christ the King graduate and now attends Cal Poly. Georgia is in her 2nd year at Holy Names Academy. My spare time is spent with my family at a barn in Duvall, where our girls are avid horse riders.
I previously taught 6 years in the Everett Public Schools and have been teaching at Christ the King Catholic School for 7 years. I have taught second through fifth grades, and also held a long-term middle school substitute position at CKS.
I appreciate and value the supportive Christ the King family. I will continue my current 4th grade job-share with Megan Bayrd as I additionally work part-time as vice principal. I thoroughly enjoy teaching children, and my favorite subjects are math and science.
