Service learning is a core part of the curriculum at Christ the King. All students participate in service learning projects in developmentally appropriate ways. For example, some of our youngest learners worked together to create a "Little Free Library" to share the love of books and stories. Our first graders wrote thank you cards to local firefighters and hand-delivered them - and the firefighters were so appreciate they gave the students a spontaneous tour of a fire engine! 7th graders take the lead in organizing a school-wide project every Thanksgiving to collect food for Thanksgiving boxes to be distributed to local families in need. And our middle schoolers have visited Foss and Ida Culver House to bring joy to the elderly.
