We love having our CKS families volunteer at school! All volunteer opportunities are available within the Parent Portal and/or will be shared by teachers, room parents, Parents Club, and staff throughout the year. Thank you for helping enrich our community with your time, talents, and love!
Each family at CKS commits to completing volunteer hours. There are numerous opportunities to volunteer at CKS throughout the year. Please add and track your volunteer hours in your Parent Portal.
Hour Requirement:
- All families must complete 25 volunteer hours during the school year
- 5 of the total hours must be supporting fundraising efforts (Panther Spirit Spring and/or Auction)
- NOTE: 12.5 hours total with 2.5 of those being fundraising hours for single parent families.
In lieu of the volunteer hours requirement, families may opt to pay the following respective amounts:
- 20 non-fundraising hours at $30/hour = $600
- 5 fundraising hours at $100/hour = $500
Safe Environment
To protect all of our students we require volunteers complete Safe Environment training (which includes a background check). If you think you might at some point volunteer, we encourage you to start the process now. Children love having important adults in their lives volunteer at school!
Safe Environment Training is a virtual class all volunteers have to take every three years. Please click the link below to sign in or register. When registering, select Seattle Archdiocese. You will need to electronically sign all of your policies and submit your background check. No social security number is required, you will not be able to enter it.
